Dear Lovely Reader
Back-to-school vibes are in full swing and you can feel it in the air. Summer’s suddenly a blur, gone in a flash, and autumn has arrived whether we were ready or not. Here in the UK the weather has been all over the place (when is it not?) but still, there’s that shift: September energy.
And with that energy comes pressure. Online especially, it feels like the moment, the final quarter of the year. The implied question: how are you finishing? Are you flying? Thriving? Crushing goals? And if not… well, it can leave you with that horrible feeling of being behind.
But here’s the truth: “behind” is a made-up concept. A man-made construct designed to pit us against one another and make us feel like we’re missing something. You are not behind. You never were.
Life isn’t meant to be one constant upward trajectory. There will be seasons where you’re flying, yes. And there will be seasons where you’re cocooning, resting, surrendering. Sometimes the quiet, slower chapters are exactly what’s needed to prepare us for the big leaps ahead. That doesn’t mean you’re failing, it means you’re in rhythm with your own life.
So if you’re feeling that September wobble, looking around at what everyone else has achieved and suddenly doubting yourself, turn the noise down. Be inspired, sure. But don’t let someone else’s highlight reel trick you into thinking you’re behind. Your lane, your centre, your timing.
If you do want to make changes, let them be because they feel good and true for you, not because you think you “should” end the year a certain way. End the year in the way that’s right for your season, whether that’s action and expansion, or rest and inward focus.
The truth is, when we stop chasing and start honouring ourselves, life tends to click into place. Flow comes. Magic comes.
So as the leaves begin to fall and September settles in, maybe let some of those old stories fall away too, the ones about not being enough, not keeping up, not measuring up. They’re not yours. They never were.
You are enough. You are worthy. Right here, right now.
I’d love to hear how you’re feeling this September, are you leaning into a season of action, or one of rest?

This week’s care is from Collette Baron-Reids “The Spirit Animal”oracle deck.
This week’s card, “Dear Spirit – Bring a Gentle Touch”, feels so right for the collective energy as we step into September. A new month, fresh energy, and the autumn equinox slowly approaching.
After the swirl of summer, it’s time to ease in gently. Those “back-to-school” vibes are here, but that doesn’t mean we need to rush or push ourselves. There’s a lot happening astrologically right now, so grounding is key, looking after yourself, doing what you need, but doing it all with a softer touch.
This isn’t a week for hustle. It’s a week for listening, leaning in, and trusting the process. Remember too, this is a time of harvest, a season of celebrating. Take a moment to honour what the summer has brought, be grateful for what’s been, and carry that gratitude forward into what’s to come. Gratitude has a way of shaping the future beautifully.
We sometimes think being gentle means being weak, or not getting enough done. But actually, gentleness with intention can be far more powerful than rushing. By moving at your own pace, you might be surprised at how much you’ve achieved by the end of the week.
Yes, it’s natural to feel the need to “kickstart” after summer. But we don’t have to dive in headfirst. Easing ourselves gently helps regulate the nervous system and allows us to settle into this new season. Once we’ve found our rhythm, we can build momentum in a way that feels sustainable.
So as you move through this week, bring that gentle touch. Trust that your steady steps are adding up to something deeper and more powerful than you realise. Let gratitude weave through it all, amplifying, uplifting, and guiding the way forward.
I hope everyone has a good week ahead, do share this with anyone who may enjoy it. This is greatly appreciated.
All my love
